Mariah Carey unveils her comeback single “Triumphant (Get ‘Em).” The single is the first off Mimi’s upcoming yet-to-be-titled 14th studio album. This tack features Meek Mills and Rick Ross.
During a press interview today with Mariah & Randy Jackson, Mariah revealed her inspiration behind the project saying:
“Triumph is what I was feeling at the time when I wrote it. Whitney had just passed and Nick was in the hospital, so these were very difficult times and writing this helped me through it. Triumph is about self-expression.”
The iconic prima donna urged her fans to truly take the words to heart saying;
“Listen to the words of the song. There is so much you can get out of this, it is truly an inspirational song.”

To be honest I’m VERY disappointed in Mariah Carey’s comeback single. It’s underwhelming. It’s more like Meek Mill and Rick Ross featuring Mariah Carey. This hearts my soul to take this because I’m a hardcore Mariah Carey fan however I waited two years for this? The chorus is nice but….. where are Mariah’s verses?
The bottom line is this song needs more MARIAH and less rapping however it will do well on the urban charts.

Okay MC going to have to have a seat with this one. This song is supposed to be heavily insperational but… It’s rapped to the gods with meek mills and rick rosses fat ass. How in the hell is she singing background to her own damn song. Ch!
I LOVE MC therefore I will support her but damn… this… I just can’t oh lawd why did she have to put RICK ROSS FAT ASS on this damn song!
